Sanford Events

Sanford is home to the Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens, as well as the scenic Sanford Riverwalk, scads of museums and a beautiful array of lakes and parks. And Sanford peeps like to party, so strap yourself in and buckle up your party pants! Here is just a scratch on the surface of what goes on in Sanford year after year…

There is always something going on in Sanford – no matter what month of the year! There’s Alive after Five the second Thursday of every month – a street party of great proportions in downtown Sanford, bursting with music, food, craft beers, and shopping. The third Saturday of each month is time for the Sanford Food Truck Fiesta – a moving culinary event you won’t want to miss, and the Sanford Art Walk in celebration of the arts. There is also a car show with live music along the scenic Sanford Riverwalk and a Sanford Avenue block party that promises dancing in the street the last Saturday of each month.

Get ready to sip from the masters in March, which is time for the Annual Craft Beer Festival. May is the month for the St John’s River Festival of the Arts, a Soap Box Derby that can’t be beaten and a festive Memorial Day parade. Don’t miss the Annual Hurricane Music Festival and Street Party in June and the Star Spangled Sanford July 4th Celebration. November boasts its Harvest Festival and Fair, the Senior Olympics Championship Games and 5K Turkey Day! Finally, in December, Sanford makes the holidays magical with its Christmas in the Square Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, a holiday tour of homes and Christmas parades by both land and sea.
